I'm Laura, founder of Laura & Ko. a social media and content agency that helps businesses with social media strategies, content producing, media advising, brand building and more.

Oh, and did I mention I'm also a Senior Journalist and Digital Strategist at QNews?

I’ve taken the road-less-travelled approach to my career. I left high school early, studied photography at RMIT, and then became a senior recruiter for five years.

After COVID, I, like many, reevaluated where I was heading in my career. This self-reflection led me to make the slightly terrifying jump into the media world, initially as a Social and Video Producer for some of Australia’s top podcasts at Mamamia.

Since then, I’ve worked as a Media & Campaign advisor in NSW Parliament, trained as a news journalist, launched a freelance career, and now I am building my own small business with a team of two under me!

My unique, skill-packed adventure of a career makes me, ME (!!) — and I’ve loved every second of learning, growing and meeting the best people in the business.

My path has not been your average one, and that’s my superpower.
